Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The shorter and lighter periods could be suggestive of pregnancy or possibility of perimenopausal onset. It is difficult to comment on the cause without examination and further investigations. A blood/serum HCG test would accurately confirm/rule out pregnancy. A hormonal analysis done would confirm if the symptoms are due to perimenopausal changes.
Take care.
