Q: normal brown spotting on BC?

i've been on birth control for about two months now. the first month was fine, but a few days ago i noticed that there was brown discharge. its lasted a few days, but it's not heavy. i dont know if its birth control related, or has to do with the fact that i haven't been taking it on time at all latley. im not sure if it could mean im pregnant maybe?

Yes, its normal.

Breakthrough bleeding is common within the first three months of taking birth control, if it becomes a problem (a problem being you get annoyed with it or it doesn't go away-- it doesn't mean the birth control isn't working though) then speak to your doctor.

Just remember to use a back up method if you forget your pills!
