what is a normal blood sugar? I am severely hypoglycemic & have to eat every 2 hrs. when my blood sugar is in 80's I feel my worst. I have had spells since I was about 16. 4yrs ago had my gallbladder removed & surgeon kept telling me it did'nt need removed. He was right! It took almost a yr & half to realise I was hypoglycemic. ambulance had to pick me up. I know you'll find this hard to believe I was at 21. ambulance guy said he had never seen someone awake at 21 in all his yrs. I kinda stabled out in the next yr & half & then I got stupid would bargain with myself over sugar, needless to say i'm a mess. I go in for ct friday to make sure it is nothing else. I really don;t think it is I'm having same pains as I was when they removed gallbladder. I just can't believe they removed my gallbladder & never mention my blood sugars was wacked I found out looking through old medical records.

20 years ago I was told normal BGL was 80-120 no i am told it is 70-110. I have post gastric bypass hypoglycemia. I start feeling very tired at around 65-70, less then 65 i start getting chest pain, sweaty,at this point i can usually still help myself, but below 60 mild trembling, lightheaded, eventually i start uncontrolable shaking then passing out. years ago it has gone into the 20's. The past few weeks it has returned, the lowest reading I have is 54,(at the docs' office at the end of a 2 hour glucose tolerance test) but know it has been lower, family and friends know to give me juice or a glucose tablet when i exhibit certian symptoms, by the time my sugar is checked after that it is within normal range.
