Menstruation Answer A5749
Missing your periods might happen very often and is not considered pathological if it does not happen too often or too many periods are missed. There are many possible causes for a missing period, including: hormonal imbalance, stress, pregnancy, illness, and certain medications. Since you missed 2 periods, you might want to consult your gynecologist. He might want to do a physical exam of the pelvis, as well as laboratory tests that will check the hormones. The results might determine the further treatment.
