I have history of blood clot and stroke so my PCP has said I can not go on hormon birth control. Years ago I was on the pill and then depo shot just to control heavy periods. My periods are very regular now in part to some major weight loss. I've been looking at some of the non-hormone BC options. Of course I will always have my partner (as I'm not married) use a condom, but I want so added protection that I am more in control of. I also don't want something that would interfere with our fun. I like the fact that the sponge can last 24 hours despite the # of time you have intercourse, but would he be able to feel or taste anything? Are they even still on market...I know they left and came back but I can't find anything about them still being available execpt being on sale on eBay...ummm not a place I want to get my bc. I've used Conceptral inserts in the past, but again don't see them on the market...just prefilled applicators.

What are you experiences?

You could check out "Centchroman" on google. Just another idea. I've never tried any other non hormonal method because spermicide is really irritating to my vagina.
