I have had a bad head cold for a week or so now- normally when I get a bad cold my ears fill up, with general sinus bother- stuffy nose, stuffy ears.

This time however my ears are full (like they need popped), but they're accompanied with a bizarre breathing noise in my right ear. It's not my own breath- it's not in time with this. It disappears when I put my little finger into 'plug' by ear but returns when removed. it's a nightmare when trying to sleep.

Can anyone help me? I'm frustrated and close to tears because of this frustration.
