I am a 39 year old female who took 2 injected doses of depot lupron for endometriosis (also had an ovary removed because of this disease) last June and Oct. Since about a month after the 2nd injection, I have had problems sleeping. It feels like shocks, or waves, or a feeling of dread is moving through the left half of my brain (just above the ear--travels in like a wave) but this only occurs as I am trying to fall asleep. Sometimes it wakes me up at night out of a sound sleep. Then I am up all night long and then have to work my 2 jobs on no sleep (I work part time at a bookstore as well as do buying and procurement for a print company full time). Now this is going on 8 months). I went to my general dr who prescribed lorazepam .50 once a day at bedtime. This usually works but around 2-3 times a month, it doesn't work and I just have to stay up all night or keep having those episodes. It does seem to coincide with my ovulation and PMS. I had panic attacks years ago when I was 18, which I conquered without medication and by using guided imagery. It feels similar to that feeling, but I can assure you, it is not the same thing at all. All of the doctors (including a neurologist I saw once) I ask about this seem to think I'm nuts. I have done some research on my own and the closest thing that this resembles what I describe is a simple partial nocternal seizure. I am so scared. Please provide some guidance. THANK YOU!!!
