Hello,

I am 29 years old. My cycle varies from 31 to 33 days. My last two periods start dates were on March 2nd 2011 and April 5th 2011. Today is May 11, 2011 and no period yet but I have seen a brown discharge the day before yesterday (05/09/11) and yesterday (05/10/11). What could this mean? Could I be pregnant? Keeping my fingers crossed as we have been trying.

Thanks

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Brown discharge at expected time of periods along with absent periods could be suggestive of pregnancy. Sometimes periods can be delayed. Wait and watch for your periods. See if you get periods within 10 days of expected period date. Look out for symptoms suggestive of pregnancy if suspect to be pregnant. Visit your doctor/gynecologist soon for examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Avoid having intercourse for some time until pregnancy is confirmed (and for the first trimester). Avoid lifting any weights and take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.
