I have not had my period since my daughter was born 10 weeks ago. I breastfed for 2 weeks and only bled lightly for 2 weeks after delivery. I started having sex 3 weeks after delivery and sometimes it was unprotected but he pulled out. My period returned 4-5 weeks after my son was born 4 years ago and i also breastfed him for two weeks. I have not taken a test but i was wondering what the chances are i could be pregnant again. I was also wondering if its safe to go through with the pregnancy if i was. Both my children were delivered vaginally with no complications.

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum. I am glad to help you out.

You can do urine for pregnancy test and also do an ultrasound of the uterus for the confirmation of the pregnancy.

You can carry on with the pregnancy but normally it’s recommended that there should be a gap of at least 3 years between two kids as the female body is not prepared for pregnancies with little gap in between them.

Moreover, it’s taxing physically and mentally for rearing two small kids. I sincerely hope this information helps. Take care.
