Q: no period , no hcg

hi , please help
my period's been late for 8 days now , had sex 30 days ago (withdrawal), a drunk mistake . A serum neta hcg 2 days ago showed less than 1 mIU , that means not pregnant right . If so , wheres my period ?
I heard that sometimes ectopic pregnancies dont show hcg levels. Is this a possibility ?
I somehow get the premonition that my period just wont come.
Whats with me ?
Help ?
Im 21 and unmarried , a pregnancy of ne kind could cause my ruin
