I am currently just started my third pack of pills a week ago and I haven't had a single period on loestrin. When I first started taking it I had unprotected sex after two weeks of starting the pill and I haven't once missed. The end of my first month I had some spotting but it wasn't anything like a period so I took a pregnancy test (the one with the two lines that show if your pregnant) and the second line was faded. I freaked out and bought a different kind which was negative. I thought everything was fine but I literally haven't bled since! I don't know if this is normal or not but I know that I was atleast supposed to get some sort of period on this pill. Could I be pregnant and maybe I took a test to early? Or does the pill just does this?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
You are not protected while on your first pack of pills. If you had unprotected intercourse during the first month of pill use, then chances of pregnancy are high as shown by the first test that you did. A reconfirmation should have been done with blood HCG levels if pregnancy was suspected.
Your absent periods can still be due to pregnancy unless proved otherwise. Go ahead with a thorough evaluation, blood HCG level estimation and an ultrasound scan to confirm/rule out pregnancy, and to get started with further investigations to look for any other underlying causes (if not found to be pregnant).
Take care.
