My bf and I had protected intercourse on the 21st of February. He ejaculated but the condom didn't break. My period was due on the 26th of February, but obviously I didn't have one. I've had no early symptoms of pregnancy except for missed period and slight constipation (it's probably because I haven't been drinking enough water and I don't eat breakfast). I didn't have any nausea, morning sickness, spotting/bleeding, sore breasts, fatigue (I still can play badminton for 1 whole hour), no food cravings or hate for some favorite food, AS IN NO SYMPTOMS AT ALL.

I took my first HPT on the 3rd week after intercourse and it was negative.
I took my second HPT on the 4th week and it was negative.
I took my third HPT on the 5th week, in the morning when I woke up, and it was negative.

I still didn't get my period after 2 weeks so we decided to go the Family Planning center to see a specialist. On the 7th week I took a urine test at the clinic and it was negative. The following week I went back and did another one with a different specialist and it was still negative. So they told me I should have a blood test to have a hormone check, FSH, LH, blood count, thyroid, and HCG level. I did that on the 10th week and everything was normal and my HCG level was less than one (<1). But they saw a slight problem with my FSH and LH ratio which was the other way around. They said my missed period might be caused by a mild PCOS or just pure stress. They gave me birth control pills cause the specialist and nurses strongly believe that the blood test was absolutely accurate and I'm not pregnant and just have to relax and the pills will help regulate my period.

I don't feel that I am pregnant, but I do get paranoid when my tummy gets bloated because I haven't exercised in 4 months! The recent exercise I had was last week after 4 months.

Do you think I'm pregnant or is it just in my mind cause I haven't missed a period this long before and I might have a mild PCOS? Will my period come back after I take the pills for a month?

I need all of your help! Sad I'm planning also to have an ultrasound, is that a good idea to find out if I really am or am not pregnant?

Thank you!

Don't worry, it's all clear! I AM NOT PREGNANT! Very Happy
Had an ultrasound done and a translabial ultrasound and my uterus was empty! Very Happy I was so relieved cause first, I wasn't pregnant, second, I don't have a mild cyst anywhere in my ovaries, and third, they found four eggs in my ovaries which is exact for the almost four months of missed periods!! Very Happy It was definitely all about stressing that my period was too pressured to go and flow and it decided to just hide till I'm calmed haha! God is sooo good! Very Happy

So to all you ladies out there, if you don't feel pregnant at all, it's all in your mind! I thought I had some symptoms but I didn't really feel like I was pregnant but I had to make sure!

Oh, and also, if you want to take HPTs, make sure you take them the third week of your missed period then if unsure, take two more in the following two consecutive weeks (if you still don't have your period). If still no period, unsure, paranoid, or whatever! Go to a family planning clinic near you to get a urine test then I suggest you make a date for a quantitative blood test at around 8-10 weeks if you still miss your period at that time.

BLOOD TESTS CAN NEVER BE WRONG AT 8-10 WEEKS! Especially when you get a <1!! Cause at those weeks, if you are pregnant, your HCG level should be a 100,000-268,000+! And that's waaaay ahead of <1 -_-"

If you're still a fussy person, like me, and you want to know 'really, what is in there that is stopping my period?!' Get an ultrasound and a translabial ultrasound, then you will find the answers you want to know! Smile It was a big relief to see my uterus empty and my ovaries both with two eggs each :> I had to wait for 13 weeks till I found out I wasn't pregnant Smile It takes some patience and trust Smile
