Q: no period for 6 months

my concern is that i have not had a period in about 6 months..my last one was dec 4,2007...i was on bc and stopped taking it and the one i had on the 24th was a real one...i've taken pregnancy test and they all come back negitive...is that normal with stopping the pill in Dec or what? i was told be a friend it could take up to a year to get regulated after taking the pill....my periods have always been messed up...but my husband and i are wanting a child but i need to find out why im not having my periods monthly...please help if possible

IF your periods have ALWAYS been 'messed up', then this issue is NOT related to birth control.

This is most likely a hormonal imbalance that CAN BE TREATED!!

You should see a "Reproductive endocrinologist". They can run blood work, and help you with your problem.
