Q: no period ... could I be pregnant

I am new to this forum. I will start from the beginning. I had my period on 5/5/09 it only lasted 5 days which is unusal for me. Mine are usually 7. I had stopped taking bcp on 5/4 so I am not on them right now. I had strange spotting on 5/21 thru 5/24. It was pink and heavy, then it turned reddish brown, then straight brown. I took a pregnancy test yesterday afternoon and it was positive but the line was extremely light. I took another one this morning but it came out negative. I have had extreme cramps on my left and right side for about a week. If I am pregnant could this be an etopic pregnancy. I have never had any of these signs before. I have two other children and my doctor's office is closed. I am extremely worried but I don't know what to do. Could comeone please give me there option.

Sounds like symptoms from coming off birth control.

If you stopped taking birth control on 5/4, you may have ovulated this month. But you aren't due for your period until June 2nd (and it may be late due to stopping BC) so a pregnancy test wouldn't be very accurate unless you ovulated very early.

Your symptoms could all be related to stopping birth control.

If your having extreme cramping go to the Emergency Room or one of those clinics opened on weekends. Don't mess around when it comes to cramping on the right side.
Hope you feel better
