Q: no period and yeast infection

I've been having unprotected sex regularly now for the past month and although he hasn't finished completely inside of me I know for a fact that he precums. And I know I'm stupid and that the pull out method isn't a method but please, bare with me.
My periods are very regular and I have my little calender and everything because I'm a little too organized, and around the time I was supposed to get it (earlier this week) I instead got a yeast infection.
I was thinking that it's probably just my yeast infection that is making my period not come, but I was wondering if you could give me advice whether or not I should take a test? I was thinking that if I didn't get it until the end of this week then maybe I should? Anyone? Sad Is it possible to be pregnant with a yeast infection? please respond

There is no harm in taking the test. I don't see why having a yeast infection would prevent you from getting your period or from getting pregnant. When you get the test, read the instructions carefully to see when after your missed period you should take the test.

Have you been treated for the yeast infection? This would be a good excuse to go to the doctor and ask for birth control pills (if you aren't pregnant, that is). I don't know where you're from, but if you live in the U.S., your doctor can't tell your parents about you asking for birth control without your permission.

However, I would suggest talking to one of your parents about this, or at least an adult you trust and ask them to take you to the doctor.

Good luck. Let us know how everything turns out.

For some reason I thought that with the infection it would delay my period? I feel like I've heard that once but that does kind of sounds wrong now that I think about it. Just incase though, I'll wait until the end of this week and until it clears up to take a test.

I've been using some of that over the counter stuff that you put in like a tampon that my mom got for me. I considered not telling her because last time she found out I was sexually active it took a long time to rebuild our relationship. she refuses to put me on birth control so maybe if the yeast infection doesn't clear up, I'll take your advice.

Thanks Smile, and I'll let you know.

there are chances that yeast infection may cause irregular periods, but i feel it will be good if you take a pregnancy test to avoid chances.
if you are not pregnant, then it is good you see a doctor and get medicines for the infection along with that get the advise for a good birth control.
