hello doctor,
i have taken follicular study last year end.no pcod found.
now my doctor is asking again to take follicular study.is there any chance of pcod?

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

Follicular study is usually taken to determine if a graffian follicle is maturing as usual and releasing egg. This is done in cases where women find it difficult to conceive, and the doctor suspects that there is no ovulation. PCOD can be detected by an ultrasound or CT scan of abdomen. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once. Hope this helps. Take care!
