I noticed my husband was slowly losing his hearing, so he went to the doctor.

Ear infection due to over use of ear buds / Wearing the same old smelly headphones all the time, and was given antibiotics
He's not very good with swallowing tablets, so I am not even sure if he took them properly.

Nothing happens, he still has blocked, smelly, weeping ears for MONTHS. But never had any pain or irritation (aside from constantly popping his ears)

We go on a holiday to Europe. The discharge gets heavier.
He wakes up one morning to a blood covered pillow and freaks out.

But nothing. No pain, no smell, no discharge, his hearing is back ... like nothing was wrong.

What happened? Did the altitude or climate change affect it somehow? What caused the huge discharge, and how was it instantly cured?

Many thanks.
