I havent had my menstrual cycle for about 5 months. I am 17 years old and sexually active. I dont think school is stressing me out so i know that cant be the cause of it. i took more than 6 pregnancy tests with the first one being positive and the rest being negative. I had an immediate pap-smear done the 2nd month of my missed period and the doctor mentioned slight swelling. what can this be???

If you are not pregnant and it's been confirmed, you might want to get checked for a hormone imbalance, which could indicate PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), which is where little cysts develop on the ovaries and if left for a very long time, can cause ammenorrhea (lack of menstruation)
