No.. this is backwards. You lose your period
because your aren't getting enough nutrients. Once you get to a certain level your periods go away because your body is unable to give up nutrients for any possible reason other than to keep you going.
And there are other negative effects from being underweight..
For many, problems associated with being underweight almost shadow the effects of being overweight, so you'll have a higher risk or heart problem among other things. Other side effects include early onset of osteoporosis (bone defienciency ), decreased muscle strength, trouble regulating body temperature, and poor immune system-- not to mention an increase of possible anxiety and depression.
Trust me, it's nothing to mess around with-- if you've lost your periods then take it as the sign it is ---- your body needs more nourishment and more weight on your body!
