Hi.
I am currently experiencing something that is freaking me out. I'm 17 and I'm on birth control called Yasmin-28, which I'm sure you have all heard of.

Anyways, my boyfriend this weekend was telling me that something was coming out of my nipples every time he sucked on them. I didn't believe him at all, until a few hours later I squeezed my areolas and I noticed a clear/whiteish discharge coming from them. There's maybe 1 or 2 drops of discharge that will come out ONLY if I squeeze it out. I've never had this before.

According to wikipedia's lactation article, it says lactation in pregnancy is usually brought on by the 5th to 6th month of pregnancy... And I know for sure I'm not pregnant, as I just had my period.

Could it be the hormonal changes from the birth control? And also the increased amounts of sex and stimulation to the breasts as well? Should I also make an appointment with a doctor, or is it nothing to worry about, and should go away?

Honestly, I would see a doctor. I can't think of any reason (other than infection or hormonal imbalance) that a 17 year old who isn't pregnant would have breast discharge . . . but I might be wrong.

From what I know, it's not a normal side effect of bc or sex.
