Q: nightly tightening of the chest and numbness of fingers

I am a 22 year old male in top physical condition. I played football in college and have I have never had any serious medical conditions. However, I have been experiencing nightly pain in my chest and numbness in my fingers. It occurs almost every night and I have not been able to get a decent nights sleep. Are these symptoms of a more serious problem? what can I do to treat it?
