I have been suffering with nightime bruxism for over 9 years. In the past two years my symptoms have taken over my life in that I am getting severe headaches, dizziness, nausea, blocked ears and no taste or smell. I have been to see various specialists Neurology, ENT etc who say there is nothing wrong. The NHS dentist also said there was nothing wrong, so I decided to pay to see a dentist. She discovered I have a tongue thrust habit, in that I do not swallow correctly, and from this I have a narrow palete, open bite, overbite and slight crossbite. She has fitted me with upper and lower expansion braces and then I will have another brace to pull my front jaw forward. See said once the canines touch and my teeth have some proper feedback from my brain (at present I bite on the sides of my teeth due to my teeth being at the wrong angle) I will no longer clentch. Is this true? My doctor has put me on antidepressants (veneflaxine) and 4mg of dizapam as they say it is stress, but the medication does not help and while I am going through treatment I am just clentching into the brace which is a nightmare.

Please help I am desperate for any advice.
