What do you think would cause these night time attacks:
Waking between 1-2am, feeling bloated/v.nauseous. And then when I get up to go to the bathroom (which I have to do), it makes it worse. I have a bowel movement (normal), sometimes vomit too. I always faint. When coming out of the faint I can vomit too. The rest of the night is disturbed sleep, sometimes with shaking.
This has happened roughly every 2-4 weeks in the past few months. I've managed to sleep if off the last time, with a (normal) bowel movement happening in the morning. Prior to this year I've had one incident say, per year. Except nothing 1999-2006.
There's no blood in the stool that I know of. No abdominal pain. No fever other than increased temperature associated with fainting. No daytime symptoms.
I have to go for investigative colonoscopy/gastroscopy soon. Just wondering if anyone can associate this with any definite explanation in the meantime. thanks.
