A few years ago I was playing rugby and managed to get hit in the face by another player shin. My nose was incredibly sore afterwards but my coach assured me it wasn't broken. After swelling up a bit, a few days after I noticed a rather prominent bump in my nasal bone. Ever since I've had problems with my breathing and occasionally I would get a small whistling sound when I breathed in, which was rather embarrassing at times.
I've recently started learning to drive and wear glasses, but since my nose is sensitive now I can wear them for no longer than 10 minutes before they become discomforting. What can the NHS do for me, if anything, to relieve some of the discomfort? Is this sort of thing covered by the NHS? Or will it require plastic surgery to correct and cost money?
Thanks in advance
