We burp, belch and fart an average of 12 times a day. But why do we have gas? And what is intestinal gas?...the basics here....
Intestinal gas forms from two main sources - swallowed air and bacteria in the intestine. Plus, learn which factors to avoid to decrease the likelihood of gas....
How much gas is normal? Usually symptoms of gas and flatulence are more bothersome than serious. But learn when you should seek help for excessive gas here....

Oh my gosh! Same thing!
I'm so glad to hear someone else has the same concern. I am also a new mother and my baby is just over 1 month old. I been to 2 doctor's in the past 2 days and they say 'nothing is wrong'! Thats hard to believe. My baby cries so hard and makes fists with his tiny hands or pulls his lips or anything he can get a hold of, and then a few minutes later the gas or poo is released. In addition he has developed really tiny pimples (white and red) all over his face, first around his nose and forehead, now its spread over his cheeks and eyelids too. His poo is also as you said, usually once a day and very watery yellow (mustard) color.

In my opinion SOMETHING IS WRONG. What could it be?

I wish someone can reply to us, and I hope your baby (and mine) feel better soon.

The pimples on a newborn are usually normal and a reaction to the difference in climate. Sometimes he could be reacting to something he eats.

Yellow stool on a baby that is seedy and mustard-like is normal for a breastfed child. If you are formula feeding, it can vary.

If the baby has very explosive BMs and seems to have a lot of gas, consider removing dairy from your own diet if you are breastfeeding. He should feel better within 2 weeks.

If you are formula feeding, then switch to a lactose-free formula or another kind that is more gentle on his stomach.
