Q: New to BC pills - chances of being pregnant

I've just finished my first packet of Nordette 21. This is my first time to take BC pills. I'm on day 24 and I'm kind of worried because I still don't have my period. Forgive me if I'm worrying too much but like I said, it's my first time.

Anyway, I followed what the doctor said, took it when she said I should and didn't have sex for 7 days. I take the pills at 10 pm everyday. I slipped thrice and took those pills sometime 10:00-12:00 pm but I've never missed one. What are my chances of being pregnant? Should I have my period by now? Thank you!

If you have not missed any pills and waited the recommended length of time before having unprotected sex your chances of being pregnant are very slim. I'm not sure on the 21 day packs (mine is 28 different b/c). You should have an off week where you take the water/sugar pills, during that week you should get ur period. If your on day 24 I'd say ur due for it anyday. I'd give it another day maybe and if you don't get it takea hpt just to make sure ur not pregnant.

Is it possible that I don't have withdrawal bleeding at all especially since it's my first time on the pill? And thank you, I'm taking a hpt the day after tomorrow to be sure if I don't have it by then.

You could miss periods while taking birth control. I've been on mine for about 3 years and never missed til this last feb and my doc told me its normal and to keep taking my pills so its possible as ur body adjusts to the new drug.
