I've attached links to pics of my back. My husband has convinced me to get a dermatologist appointment, but unfortunately the dermatologist he uses doesn't have any openings until November. I just thought I could get some feedback on if anyone here thought that there was anything on my back that looked like I needed an appointment sooner and if so I would find another doctor to see sooner.

I am med/fair skinned with a history of sunburns as a child and I did tan for about 2 years almost non stop about 10 years ago (very stupid.......I know!). I am 46 years old and I really don't remember ever having all of these moles on my back, so quite a few of the larger ones are new. I also am always very itchy on my back, which I think is just dry skin and I do have a dermatitis type rash as you can see in the pics......small red raised dots. I've had that for over 6 months. In the past few weeks I did notice one lymph node near my neck/collar bone is a little swollen..........just enough that I can feel it and move it around a little, but I was also putting that off to a tick bite I received on my chest a few weeks back too.

These two are of my lower back

Thank you for any input..........after doing some internet reading I am feeling a little apprehensive.

As I have noticed you have moles that greatly varied. Moles that often look different from one another and are usually with bigger diameter than normal moles, are known as dysplastic or atypical moles.
People who have them are at an increased risk of melanoma (they usually resemble melanoma). Sometimes a melanoma begins within a dysplastic nevus.

Enlargement of a previously stable mole or appearance of a new mole after age 40 always raises suspicion.

I don't wanna cause you unbiased worries, but, there is no need to delay the appointment.

Thank you for your input..............I actually found a local dermatologist this morning that had a cancellation next Tuesday so I took that appointment. I don't know that I could have waited until November to see a doctor.........this has really been on my mind since doing internet reading and seeing pics. If there is a problem I would rather know and deal with it..........and if not than all the better. Thank you again for your help.

Have you been checked?
Would you like to share the new informations?

An instrument called dermatoscope can be used by your dermatologist to help her/him distinguishing benign from malignant lesions. It is especially of aid in the diagnosis of malignant melanoma.

Hope everything is going fine!
Best wishes!
