My nightmare began with 2 silver fillings being replaced with composite fillings. Same side(right side) #3 and #30.Never felt right always felt high even after at least 4 or 5 adjustments. DDS said after my 5th visit that I had an interference going into left lateral. He drilled(polished off enamel)on about 3 teeth.Ever since that procedure my teeth felt misaligned. Hitting to hard on my right side.Well I am figuring it out my jaw moved to avoid the pain.Well that brought on TMJ symptons.Neck/back shoulder aches, eye twitching difficulty swallowing, very slight click when i move my jaw side to side no click when opening and shutting jaw. I did get in to see tmj dentist, he ordered night guard, and mri to rule out disc displacement. My symptons have gotten alot better on their own but still there. It seems that I am chewing my food differently and my S's don't sound normal kind of like a lisp? Mri is probably going to be this week of April 1. Waiting on insurance approval. What do you think is going on with me! I am so glad that my tmj symptons have calmed down. Teeth still feel strange. Thanks

i dont think that it is the fillings themselves. it is the way the dentist did it. was he rough? or did you have to open wide for a long time? its good that you are being proactive. I think that it is tmd--but it should be easy to deal with since you are beiong proactive and starting now. yeah my s sounds like a lisp too---treat that jaw like you sprained it. ice it and eat soft foods. if you need anyting you know where to find me. im here to help
