Neuropathy, the skin sensitivity is driving me insane

Just how far does this stuff spread? I have that really sensitive sensation of the skin going up my back now. It was just in my hips and thighs. My sugar has been staying in a normal range but this seems to be spreading slowly but surely. They upped my medication dosage of Neurontin from 600mg's to 1200 mg's per day. Seems to have helped the sharp stabbing pain's in the feet and leg's a lot. Yet the skin sensitivity is driving me insane. The past few weeks I had noticed the tingling in my upper back and this morning I could really tell a difference. Personally, the sensitivity is the worst part of it all. Certain clothes touching or someone brushing up against me makes me cringe at times. Thank you for any reply and hope everyone is in good health.
