Hello.

There are no hard and fast criteria to decide if it is a nervous breakdown, which is not a clinical term. We use the term when there are extreme emotional and psychological disturbances due to various reason.

There are a number of possible manifestations of a nervous breakdown. You could have anxiety and panic attacks, disturbed sleep patterns, disturbed eating habits, easy irritability, getting angry and abusive on minimal provocation, inability to concentrate, etc.

During a nervous breakdown, your productivity reduces drastically.

These are some of the symptoms you can experience. I would suggest you visit a counselor or a psychiatrist for help.

Regards
