This is very embarrassing but needs attention. I am heterosexual, but sometimes I do experiment during masturbation. In this case, I used a large device to aggressively massage my prostate to enhance the experience. I think I did it too aggressively because immediately afterward I felt different. I did not know how to explain it at first, but now I am sure that I have done some sort of nerve damage. I have not been able to feel any 'spark' or attain any erections for 1 1/2 weeks, and I am abnormally flaccid. Needless to say, depression has set in and I am having suicidal thoughts, but that's another issue I guess. My questions:
1.How much nerve damage, if any, can be done when experimenting like this? I have read up on cavernous nerves and need to know if I could have short circuited them in any way.
2.If nerve damage was done, how long can it take to heal so I can have erections again.
3.Any other info would be helpful.
If there is not even the slightest erection, then you might be experiencing nerve damage. The intensity of the nerve damage can be determined only by a urologist. The time needed for recovery of the erectile function depends on the intensity of the nerve damage. For example, when a prostatectomy (surgical remove of the prostate) is performed, it may take even two years to fully recover the erectile function. If the nerve was completely damaged, than a nerve-graft surgery for recovering the function of the cavernous nerves might be helpful. Nerve-graft surgery is currently available at only a small number of hospitals.
