Q: Negative Test - No Period - Cramps

My husband and I have been ttc for about 3 months. This last month we had sex in the morning and at night during the days of ovulation - a tip my friend shared with me that worked for her. Currently I am 11 days late. I have taken a few tests and they are a faint negative every time. In the last day or so I have had cramps like I am going to get my period, however, when I check there is nothing but increased mucus. I want to be pregnant so bad, but don't want to get my hopes up. Any advice?

I'm a little confused as to what you mean by "faint negative". If you mean a faint positive (ie. you see a line or a cross or whatever, but it's very faint) then you are probably pregnant.

If your period doesn't show up, go & see your doctor & they'll do a blood test. That will give you a definite answer as to whether you're pregnant or not. Good luck.

If the control line was faint, you might want to try a different brand of test. Or you can do as Zanny suggested and ask your doctor for a blood test.
