Negative pregnancy tests accurate ?
Posted: 05-15-08 21:40pm

Ok I havent had sex since Feb and on Feb and March and April my period has been light and hasnt lasted the whole 6 days i'm usually on my period they all 3 have lasted only 3 to 4 days. My stomach feels really weird kinda like im bloated all the time and my breasts are sore every once in a while I also have blueish/green veins on my boobs . I have took a pregnancy test just today and it was negative but I feel pregnant because my stomach is never like this. Its always bloated feeling and sore every once in a while. I also been eating a little more then I normally do. My mother was 5 months on both her pregnancys before she found out she was pregnant and she also had the negative test results. I'm not sure if i'm pregnant or not because wouldnt it of showen on the pregnancy test that I took today if I was pregnant? I just have this feeling that i'm pregnant but it keeps saying negative. Does this happen sometimes to females? Could someone give me some advice please

You are not pregnant. A test taken now would be very accurate. You've had periods and haven't had sex in 3 months.

If you feel you are pregnant, go see a doctor for a blood test.

A home pregnancy test are not always accurate, many women have takin home tests and they all come back neg and have had light bleeding and have been pregnant the whole time. So please do your research before answering my question.

well, if they arent always accurate, why not go see a doctor?

Ingi is a pretty educated with these questions, she's a mod on the teen pregnancy site, so im pretty sure she's done her research.

if you got a negative, you have two options.
1-get another test
2-go see a doctor

you seem to know all the answers, so do what you think you should do.

Okay, I've been feeling upper and lower backaches, stomach tenderness, breast tenderness (blue veins and discoloration, swelling), heart burn, dizzyness, fatigue, pee 7-10 times a day, hungry. The only symptoms i don't have are cravings or nausea yet. I took two pregnancy tests and they came up neg.

I've been having these symptoms when I started ovulating and they haven't gone away when I stoped. Can anyone helo me out here??
