Current medical treatment: I had to take Medroxyprogesterone 10mg for seven days (1 pill a day) and then when I got my period to start taking birth control.

Birth control pills contain hormones that alter the regular menstrual cycle in order not to get pregnant. Sometimes the body acts in unexpected ways. Hormonal imbalances might happen leading to various menstruation cycle disorders. The treatment depends on the actual disorder. Other hormone containing medications that will negate the previous effect might be recommended by your gynecologist.
