have you thought of seeing a nutritionist to help set up a meal plan for you to gain weight?
The foods you eat in order to gain weight are important, too much fat is not good for the body, but the right foods give natural fats to the body, also if you start exercising by weight training and drinking a protine shake after you work out it will help put on muscle and muscle weights more than fat too.

First of all you need to see a doctor to make sure you are okay.

Here is a diet

Rice - carbs good for weight
Chicken or any other meat twice a week
1 banana a day
1 apple a day
2 tangerines or oranges a day

at least 3 to 4 glasses of water
tea or juice

2 slices of whole wheat bread with cheese
salad - is a must

during the week you can make
chicken soup (boil chicken legs together with potatoes, carrots, parsley, salt, onion, noodles)

fish - (put some butter and one clove garlic on salmon or cod fish, wrap it in foil and bake in oven)

get creative - the key is to have a balance diet, carbs rice, rice, rice preferably brown rice)

good luck

wouldnt the walking burn off fat and calories instead of put and keep some weight on?
I would think weight training would be better because its building up muscle mass, speeding your metabolism up and adding muscle weight on to the body.

i really don't need my metabolism sped up anymore, i know a lot of you out there don't approve of it but i do smoke weed here and there so that speeds it up a bit too.
