I hope no one takes this the wrong way...

I am doing A-Level drama, and our performance piece is a play called "Find Me". It's about a girl called Verity, who has schizophrenia or something similar, and her family.

I'm playing the character of Mark, Verity's brother, and I was wondering/hoping some people on here could tell me what it's like to have a sibling with this disorder, or just a family member with it. Anything will help.

Sorry if this seems...weird/harsh... I just want to bring believablity to the play, it is based on a real girl so...

Any help is much appreciated.

Like I told elize, this isn't the kind of thing that a play should be about, or the type of thing to entertain with.

But do you have any specific questions in mind, what do you want to know?

Well I have a fiance who has it, is that any help?
I agree to a point with what woops said about this shouldn't be put on to entertain people, BUT, I do think it is a good idea, just to make more people aware of what people living with Schizophrenia are going through.
As when I met my other half....I didn't know anything about it, and because in the beginning he needed to get used to having someone there it was hard to talk to him about it. So talking to people with Schizophrenia really helped me to understand a little about what he was going through....It also helped me to be patient and wait for him to feel he could tell me. Now I recognise when things are happening. I think though making people aware of this is a really good idea....as they won't be so nieve if they ever come accross a person going through this.

Is there anything in particular you would like to know....I'll try and help you as much as I can....

I'll even ask my other half that if I did a certain thing what he thinks he would do...

To get both sides of the story...you know?

Let me know
