Need help on what skin condition this may be...

This started out as a rash on the feet, thought it was althetes foot. Then it was spreading to different areas of the body, arms, elbows, back of knees, armpits and sides of abdomen. Saw a dermatologist and they did a patch test and stated that he is allergic to nickel. Change his work boots to no nickel and it didn't help. Saw a different dermatologist and they did a biopsy and it came back as atopic eczema. The only thing they suggest is well hydrated skin with special body wash, creams and a prescription cream. Nothing helps and the feet seem to be getting worse. Most are just spots but the feet are huge swollen lumps that ooze and bleed. They all are very itchy. Does anyone have any clue on what it could be?? My husband is suffering and is embarrassed to have his feet an legs exposed.
