Q: broken femur

How does one identify the manufacturer of a bone plate that was used to connect two parts of the right femur that was broken.

The plate was removed--because IT broke!

I have the plate with its identifying numerals, but no manufacturer is identified.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would think the hospital where this surgery was done would have this information...Usually each item that is used and inserted into the body is kept numbered...Check with them on this...If you have problems, then check with your physician...
