Need dip and appetizer recipes!!!

Hey all...happy friday!!!

I am trying to get together recipes for different dips and appetizers for my baby shower. We are going to have subs as the main food. But my mom and I want to make tons of dips and trays for various finger foods. Does anyone have any great recipes for dips. Anything is good.

I am looking for a bean dip and spinach dip recipe for sure. But we like all types of food. Thanks ahead of time.

Lipton Vegtable Soup dip has a good recipe for Spinich Dip. They sell the packs of dip at all grocery stores. You mix the vegie dip into the spinich dip and it is sooo yummy. To serve it I always get a large round loaf of bread and pull out all the insides of the bread so you are left with just the crust. Then fill the dip into the bread bowl. It makes a nice serving bowl and you can use the bread pieces to dip in the spinich dip. I also use pita chips to dip.

You can make a really good cheese dip

2 T Butter
2T Flour
1 C Milk
1 C shreaded Cheese (any kind) I like to mix them up.
salt and pepper

Melt butter over medium heat, and add flour and stir. It will be all clumpy, but its ok. Remove from heat and slowly add milk. With a wisk, mix the mix into the butter/flour mixture and put back on the medium heat. Let this cook for a minute or two to thicken up. Add more or less milk to adjust for the consistancy of the sauce. Then add the cheese and stir. Then add salt to taste and about 1/8t of pepper.

With the cheese sauce I always cut up pieces of frech or italian bread and spray lightly with olive oil and stick them in the oven for about 10 minutes. You can also serve with apples.
