Neck lump and weight loss

1st of all apoligies for dodgy h key!!
I found a lump in my neck on friday, was just rubbing my neck and... oh my!!! was really alarmed as I ad been to the drs previously with incredibly itchy feet (I would wake up in the night clawing at the soles and would take anti hystamine in hope of relief but generally it would just knock me out!) this comes and goes, sometimes a few weeks of relief then it starts again! Id also consulted the dr about a cough and pains in my chest. He said see if they went and if not come back and he would send me for an xray. Though te pain is sometimes still there I tink I just got busy and it isnt as bad as it was. Anyway in discovery of neck lump, situated low on the left side of my neck, I booked into see the dr. She was one I never saw before and after a quick inspection said it was a lipoma and made me feel silly. I mentioned my chest and mention of xray and my feet but she really seemed uninterested and unconcerned.
I do feel concerned though I am loosing weight, thougt it was great when I lost my appitite 2 weeks ago (before lump discovery)and was loving the feeling of looser fitting clothes.
Is it good enoug to just touch a neck lump to decide its just fat????
I sure do hope so, any input appreciated
