Q: Neck Cracking

I am not sure if my problem is serious. I had a cervical strain on the right side of my neck two years ago. It was painful but the pain went away after I finished my second semester of law school. I think the pain was caused by stress.

Currently, I have good range of motion in my neck, good strength and no pain. However, I have a lot of neck cracking. Sometimes when I breathe deeply I can feel my neck crack. When I turn my head quickly I can feel my neck crack.

I am not sure what to do about it. It's not painful, just annoying and I am afraid it could lead to a more serious problem.

Any treatment suggestions?

Neck Cracking
I usually crack my neck in extreme positions twice left till I hear a pop and a pop. and then right. this helps me breathe better. I mainly do this because my neck gets stiff and that I feel that if I dont crack my neck I have to put more effort in breathing. Other symptoms also include sharp left chest pain when I take the deep breaths. I did go see the doctors but all was suggested was better posture and a couple of physical therapy appointments.
I am scared that one day I might just crack my neck away and never see myself again. Anybody have any advice?
I have had this problem for 1 and half years. It seems it gets worse when I drink the night before and the next day is officially a neck cracking day.
