this started back in June. The first week I had terrible nausea and one or two bouts of heartburn/pain in the upper part of my stomach (right below my breasts), it went away but then 3 weeks later the nausea came back again. I never vomit, sometimes I felt the urge to, but nothing came up. I try to refrain from taking OTC meds. I went to a hospital the one night because my stomach hurt so bad. They ran tests, all negative for infections and whatnot. My primary Dr. recommended me take Acidolyphlis (sp) to rebuild the "good" bacteria in my stomach. I took her advice and also was put on Klonopin (.25 mg) to reduce the anxiety of going back to work and school, and to ease my stress over being sick. So pretty much the whole month of August I was great, had some stomach aches here and there but for the most part I was doing better. This past week though I've noticed feeling nausea more frequently. And my stomach sometimes feels bloated, tight, like it's going to explode, and it expands. When I sit sometimes I have to keep my back upright because if I slouch it hurts right at the top of my stomach. I'm not sure whats going on. I'm going back to my primary on Wed. I can eat, I am eating what I can, nothing heavy or fried. I don't have much heartburn/indigestion or anything just bloated, and nauseous. Could these be signs of an ulcer? It all started when I came back from vacation so maybe a parasite? I thought parasites were only associated with dirahhea though, which I do not have. Just this comstant nausea. Any ideas? Thanks.

A stool sample can detect parasites. Dysentery causes diarrhea. I'm not sure if an ulcer creates nausea, so ask the doctor and please let us know what the diagnosis and treatments are!

Have you tried peppermint or ginger?

Have you heard of these remedies for nausea?
