Current Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, debilitating headaches, pain on urination and remaining for 15-20 minutes after urinating and severe back pain after eating as well as bad breath that brushing just won't seem to rid me of. There has been lots of gas and a distended stomach about an hour after eating but no constipation was evident. Also, after eating I am in complete exhaustion. Recently (past week) short term memory loss, confusion, and dizziness.

Upon a recent trip to the doctor I had a urine analysis and there was no growth. In March I was diagnosed with a kidney infection with similar symptoms but the nausea and vomiting was a much more sudden onset. I am currently on Levaquin for the "urinary tract infection." I am on day three of the antibiotics. I have an appointment with the urologist for 3 weeks from now, they said that until I finished my antibiodics they didn't want to see me. I am a chemist and I do nothing that would cause back strain.

I was diagnosed with HSV-2 2 years ago and I have never had an outbreak. I tried to increase the dosage of acyclovir and it made no change on the pain during urination. I am also negative for all other STD's (HIV, gonohhrea etc.). I have returned to my usual daily suppressive dose of 800mg.

My other medications include 50 mg of Zoloft/day, And Klonopin 0.25mg as needed and I have not used it for 2 weeks now, since before these symptoms started, and birth control that I have been on for 5 years with no problems.

I was also diagnosed with IBS at age 12 but the nausea and vomiting after eating has never been this bad.

Wow! I think you need to get back in with your doctor. If he/she is no help in your situation then seek a second opinion. You have been diagnosed with HSV-2? Your symptoms sound as if you are going through a flare? You dont have to necessarily have a break out to be symptomatic. Zoloft and Klonopin? Again your symptoms can be from a result from your meds? IBS could have been triggered from the HSV-2. I hope this helps?

The meds aren't enough to be creating the problem, in fact Zoloft is the lowest dose and I haven't had Klonopin in 2 weeks. I've had IBS for much longer than I've had HSV. Not everything is caused by that.

Have you been under any undue stress? Stress can trigger IBS, stress can trigger HSV. Between meds and your medical condition it can very likely all be related. Did you wean yourself of klonopin or did you stop cold turkey?
