Q: Nausea on the pill

I have taken tri-cyclen for just over 6 years now. For the first 5 1/2 years I had no problem, but I started to develop nausea while I was on the pill which got progressively stronger each month that has passed for the past 6 months. It's gotten to the point where I am unable to take the pills because of the nausea.

But now I have another problem. Since going off the pill, I no longer get periods. I have taken 3 at home tests at intervals, all of which have been negative. I have no symptoms of pregnancy what so ever. This is really strange to me because I started taking the pill because my period never stopped.

Has anyone heard of anything like this before? I am going to the clinic later this week, it's just really strange and I've never heard of this and am unable to find anything that fits this situation.

Lack of the regular periods is an expected temporary side effect of the birth control pills after taking them off. Body usually needs a few months, after stop taking the pills, to recover the normal function of the axis hypothalamus-pituitary-ovaries.
