Hi
About 7 weeks ago I came over very unwell quickly with nausea and light headedness and ended up fainting and having a fit. I had a lot of tests done (blood work, MRI, EEG) and they did not show anything out of the ordinary. The final dignosis was really a 'wait and see' and they thought it may have been syncope with a fit due to being restricted by a seat belt at the time.
I had been feeling 'off colour' from that morning up to 3 weeks ago when I came over again suddenly unwell with nausea and light headedness (but didnt pass out this time) and I have not been able to get well since. (I am definately not pregnant BTW)
Every day I have terrible nausea that starts off very bad and makes me want to vomit, although nothing comes up. This fades a little by 10am and remains constant during the day, getting a little better again around 3:30ish and then better again around 9pm at night. I am almost back to normal at night, only to wake up again very ill the next morning.
I am not hungry at all but forcing myself to eat small bland meals to get some goodness in me, but I am full after only a few mouthfuls. I am very tired and have close to zero energy. The nausea is bad enough that I am unable to work and am avoiding going out anywhere as it has a tendancy to get worse very quickly and I dont want to have a 'turn' away from home.
I have been to my local GP a few times now over the last 3 weeks and had full blood work done and have also had an ultrasound on my stomach but everything was normal. He also tested for EBV and it was normal. I am waiting for the results to come back for Gastritus after doing a breath test but aside from feeling tender from dry reaching, I dont have heartburn or reflux pain. I am constantly burping however due to the nausea. My stool movements have been very soft and watery for only 1 day, but otherwise normal. I feel very anxious as well but apart from feeling unwell for so long, I have nothing to feel anxious over.
The only medication I am on is Avapro for high blood pressure which I take just before going to sleep at night. I have been on this medication now for close to 10 years with no prior problems.
Id really appreciate your suggestions on where to go next!!
