Q: Nausea in shower

Sometimes when I take a shower I get really nauseous to the point where I have to sit down. The first thing I do when I get in is sit down so I can enjoy the heat and relax before I start my day. Then I get up to wash my hair and out of no where get hit with nausea. I get dizzy and my legs feel all weak, so I sit down again. Sometimes it passes but yesterday morning it was so bad I threw up. I was wondering what the cause of this might be? I googled it and the only people I found who were experiencing the same thing as me were pregnant women. I'm not pregnant. I just got off my period three days ago. I did have sex yesterday for the first time since my period, but there's no way I'd be showing symptoms this early. Plus, this isn't the first time I was nauseous. My showers aren't even hot so I don't think its because my blood pressure is raising or whatever. I prefer just a little over lukewarm. A comfy temperature. I don't know what the problem could be. So I was wondering if anyone out there is experiencing the same thing and how they solved the problem. Any comments would be great. Thanks.

Same thing for me.
I experience that too. It always happens to me every Monday morning, which is very strange. This has been happening to me for 2 years I think. I get so nauseous that I don't even want to finish washing my hair. And it also makes me late in the morning because I have to sit in the bathroom until the nausea goes away. It's horrible! I've looked this up as well and found nothing that helped me.

Me Too
I always get nauses no matter what. But i have been nauses 24/7 since March of last year. Buts its always worse in the shower. My doctors just diagnosed me with a stess syndrome and im curently taking angsiety pills. It could be stress? And i always feel that turning the water down to cold (as much as i can stand) helps alot.

hmm. well it's interesting to say the least. lol. my mom suggested it could be birth control. it seems to happen when i miss a pill and take two at once...and it would make sense (because of all the extra estrogen). i hope the situation gets better for you guys. its no fun.

Did it this morn.
OMG! I did the same thing this morning. It was awful. ?I never get sick like that. But I woke up and jumped into the shower (hot one), then about 5 minutes in I got so dizzy I had to hold onto the wall as well, then I began gettin nauseous. It took all I had to rinse off and sit down as quickly as possible. I felt as if I'd throw up but that soon passed and my muscles just felt too tired to do anything but lay down- lifeless. I was late to work because of it. If you find anything out let me know.

nausea, dizziness, blacking out
I had the same feeling. I was in the shower, the water was pretty hot. I started feeling nausea and week about 5 minutes before i would have gotten out of the shower. so i tried my hardest to rinse off and got out of the shower and sat on the toilet and wanted to puke but couldn't. I started to get dizzy and blacking out, I thought I was going to faint. It wasn't helping so i went into the living room and layed on the floor and about 2 minutes later I felt much better.. just a little weak still.

I have just told this same symptoms to my doctor. I get cold, then I start to feel nauseous and all stuffed up.
Find it hard to breath and just am too weak to do anything.
I truly feel like I am going to pass out, and once I felt like I was going to die.
The doctor is testing me for anemia. No new yet though.

i've felt nauseous every single time ive got into a hot bath or shower. ive had the sickly feeling ever since i could remember. i remember having it way back when i was around the age of six. I especially get it if the weather is cold outside and then get into the shower. it's bizarre. im starting to wonder if it had anything to do with my childhood. fingers crossed it isnt.

It's so reassuring to see this doesn't happen to me only! I find the birth control theory interesting... I took two last night and it happened to me this morning. I've been to some other sites where they said your iron could be low. I thought I might be dehydrated. I got out, got some juice, sat for a minute and then went back in. I still feel a little shaky but much better.

Man with same issue
I am a man, I was searching for this because it actually happened to me just now. So maybe it isn't a gender thing. I had just finished having intercourse with my girlfriend, it had been the first time in about 3 weeks. I got in the shower with her immediately afterwards and I felt all these symptoms, I started with the nausea, then began to feel like I would throw up, then I became so dizzy that everything turned really bright and my girlfriend had to help me out of the shower, my neck felt really heavy and I was very weak. After a few minutes everything passed and I feel as if nothing happened. Has anyone ever heard of this for a man? Is it possibly from the sudden physical activity of sex after a 3 week period of absolutely no physical activity?
