Hi, I'm a 16 year old female, and I have had problems with nausea for maybe a year or so. I get nauseated on and off, and my mom always blames it on either nervousness, food not settling right with me, it being close to "the time of the month", or stress. When I get nauseated, it always seems to be one of these things, but there are numerous times I get nauseated for what seems to be no apparent reason. For example, I went to Six Flags for a youth group trip, and I was sick all the way there, until I got there, and then I got a little better, but still queasy enough to not want to eat anything. I wasn't nervous about the trip... I was excited, and then I suddenly got nauseated the day we were going. I don't always vomit, unless the nausea is at it's worst. My mom also thinks it's because I have a weak stomach, or that it's a mental thing. I don't know what's causing it, but it doesn't make sense, makes life worse, and all I want is a cure. I have missed out on many things I really wanted to be a part of because of this silly nausea... Sad

Nausea
Wow! I am going through the same thing. I have been having problems for 3 months now. I have had all kinds of tests ran on me and noone has found anything wrong with me. I wish I knew an answer to help us both. Have you went to the dr about this?

RANDOM NAUSEA "ANXIETY"
i have a problem like this with random spells of nausea which rarely end up with me vomiting but it is very uncomfortable and irritating. "ravencloud" i would say your mother is almost right, but would say that it is anxiety...this is my problem and it sounds pretty much the same my freind!! if it becomes a real problem you can go to the doctor and they will give you advice on things you can do to help or if it is realy bad you can get medication but this is normally only if its affecting your day to day life/activities etc.
I hope this is a help...

Getting naseated for no apparent reason?
I must say I'm going through the same thing, for about five months now, and its not beause of anxiety. I'm 16 years old and I've gone from doctor to doctor and none of them know what's wrong. I haven't vomited yet despite my extreme nasea, but I have other symptoms like adomenal pain, fatigue, and headaches. I also tend to get full after only eating a small meal. Anyone have any ideas?:/

Nausea of UNKNOWN origin
I am 56 and have nausea sometimes daily for weeks on end, usually in the morning hours. Mine started 8 yrs ago after my son & I were rear-ended. I lost 30 lbs in the 2 months after that crash.
Now, 8 yrs later I'm starting to vomit, a few times every few hours ALL DAY. I've had a stomach scope, now they're referring me to neurologist for EEG,etc. Maybe a pinched nerve or something from that crash.
My weight fluxuates UP when I'm in a bad spell only eating "white food". Seems like starches are the easiest to get down, now I'm 20 lbs up... eating bagels & cream cheese, several a day, a few months ago. Little to no appetite.
I am up for any suggestions. Mint tea and sucking on peppermints does seem to help, but only a bandaid.
