Q: Nausea and headache
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 17th, 2008
I have seen a GP, but he explains that there could be something wrong with my eyes, causing the headaches which leads to nausea, but my optometrist says my eyes is in good condition. I have been experiencing nausea, permanent headaches, a weird taste in my mouth, like a hangover, but I don't drink alcohol or coffee. I was taking Roaccutane for 6 months, but haven't been taking for 4 months now. I donated blood about 3 months ago, the similar period that I started feeling this way. What can be wrong with me?

Nausea Answer A3970
It is very hard to tell what might be causing your symptoms. Nausea and headache are very common symptoms for a lot of disorders. Your optometrist excluded eye disorder. The next step is to consult an ENT-specialist about your ears. Standard blood analyses can also be useful: blood count, hemoglobin, sedimentation, CRP, liver status, kidney status. Finally, you may want to visit a neurologist.

Taking Roacutane 6 months ago and blood donation 3 months ago should not cause your symptoms to last so long.
