Hi there,

I have just been diagnosed with Endometriosis. I have all the usual symptoms, irregular periods and bleeding, painful intercourse among others.
My question is, I have had nausea for a long time. It seems to be cyclical, it comes and goes in waves but can be very dibilitating at times. It is very similar to morning sickness associated with pregnancy. (I have two children).
It is difficult to I've with as I am a stay at home mother with two small children and the nausea can be so bad I am unable to move at times. Although vomiting never occurs, just the feeling I need to.
Could this nausea be linked to endometriosis? Or should I be looking at other causes?
My Gyno gave me an anti-nausea tablet called 'Pramin" which makes no difference at all to the nausea.

Some more info if it helps, It comes and goes right through the day but is always there in the early hours of the moring, waking me up and making it very difficult to sleep.

Please help!
xxxxx

Hi,

I have been having the same problem. My last two periods have come early (cycle is at 24 days) and each time, I get horrible morning sickness- nausea and diarrhea each morning until my period is over. I have not received a diagnosis, but I believe this is being caused by endo. I have struggled with painful and heavy periods all my life. From the research I have done, it seems like nausea can be a symptom of endo if the cell growth or adhesions are occuring in the GI area (intestines or stomach area, perhaps). Have you had a laparoscopy yet?

Endo and constant nausea
It's so encouraging to know that other women are going through this constant nausea too and that it is likely related to the endometriosis. I've had this nausea for years now and have missed several days of work because of it. Same as she said, it comes and goes
, there are good days and bad days, but it's usually worse in the morning. My gynecologist basically pushed me back out the door with some pamphlets on endo after I had a hernia surgery during which they found the endo inside the hernia. Now I'm paying for that surgery and can't afford to go to another GYN yet, so I was wondering if any of you have found anything that helps the nausea or any treatment that has taken it away completely??

Thanks!
yah, I was thinking about trying the "endo diet" to see if that would help...it's got great reviews. I definitely have too much coffee and too many sweets, so I'll try cutting down on those first. Thanks!
