List of other diseases, conditions, or injuries and their treatment: insulin resistant/dependant diabeties type 1 (dx at age 30), non alchoholic fatty tissue liver disease, post uterine cancer(9 yrs)
Current medical status: My cholesterol and triglycerides are genetically high, a gift from my father. I have recently run out of my medications that i had been using to keep my numbers down. When my numbers are out of control my trigs can run in the 1000,s. I can always tell when they are up high because I develope red bump that are very painful and itch all over my body including on my fingers, legs to my ankles, butt, bottom side of my forearms, lower back and belly, My skin is very sensitive to touch and the slightest touch can be a level 10 on the pain scale. I even have areas on my scalp that are sensitve to touch. Some of the areas that hurt don't have these red bumps that look like acne with no white head. I even have little white painful bumps on the palm of my hand. This is making going to work very hard, I can't do my job pain free and I need to able to react quickly if needed.
If the bumps are really caused by the increased triglycerides, than you might try certain over the counter products. Fish oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9). Niacin is a substance that is well known for decreasing the triglycerides blood level. Also, increased intake of lecithin is recommended. Lecithin is found in soy and many over-the counter products.
